Last updated: 5 October 2026

Who can use Occrr Matrimony

Profiles made for someone else

A parent, sibling, relative or friend may create a profile for someone. If you do, you confirm that the person knows and agrees, and you are responsible for what you write and do on their behalf. The profile always shows who created it.

Honest information

Matrimony depends on trust. Everything in a profile must be true and current, especially name, age, marital status, religion, education, profession, income and family details. Photos must be recent and of the person in the profile.

Community rules

Be respectful. You must not:

We review every profile before it goes live, and we may reject profiles, remove content, hide profiles, suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, with or without warning. The Occrr team can access conversations to keep the service safe, for example to investigate reports, scams, safety problems or legal requests.

You are responsible for your decisions

Occrr Matrimony is a platform that helps people find a potential life partner. Marriage is a serious decision, and it is yours and your family's alone.

Family helpers

You can invite family members to help you look. Helpers can browse your matches and suggest profiles. They cannot send interests, accept them or read your messages. You can remove a helper at any time. Helpers must follow these terms too.

Purchases

Your content

You own the photos and text you add. You give us permission to store and show them to other members as described in our Privacy Policy, so the service can work. You confirm you have the right to share them.

User content

Profiles, photos and messages are created by members, not by us. We act as an intermediary for this content under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We review new profiles but do not check every statement and do not endorse any member. We remove content and accounts that break these terms or the law when we become aware of them.

No guarantees

Occrr Matrimony is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that you will receive interests, replies, a match or a marriage, that members are who they say they are, or that the service will always be available, error-free or secure. We may change, pause or remove any feature at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Occrr and the people who run it are not liable for the conduct, statements or actions of any member or their family, on or off the service; any loss arising from contact with other members, including fraud; indirect or consequential losses; or problems caused by services we rely on but do not control, such as Telegram, Google, Razorpay, Cloudflare and Supabase. If we are found liable despite these terms, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months before the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is lower. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against us because of your content, your conduct towards other members, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover the losses and reasonable costs this causes us, to the extent permitted by law.

Ending your profile

You can delete your Matrimony profile at any time in the app. We may close profiles that break these terms or that have been inactive for a long time.

Changes to these terms

We will tell you in the app or through our bot before important changes take effect. Continuing to use Occrr Matrimony after that means you accept the new terms.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts at Chandigarh, India, unless the law gives you the right to go to a different court. For questions or complaints, message @OccrrMatrimony_bot or use our Contact page. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
